Ohio Legal Rights Service (OLRS) PAIMI Advisory Council

Ohio Legal Rights Service (OLRS) is Ohio's federally mandated Protection and Advocacy System for Individuals with Mental Illness (PAIMI). The federal mandate requires the establishment of an advisory council. The Advisory Council advises OLRS on priorities and issues important to people receiving mental health services in Ohio, and promotes recovery through increased access to client rights and advocacy services. Members of the Advisory Council include:

  • people who have received or are receiving mental health services;
  • family members;
  • attorneys;
  • mental health professionals;
  • citizens knowledgeable about mental illness;
  • providers of mental health services; and
  • OLRS commission representative.
