General Assembly passes second interim budget

The General Assembly quickly passed a second interim budget this week (H.B. 245). The Governor is expected to sign the measure but has indicated that he is not likely to sign further interim measures. House and Senate leadership are scheduled to meet later today in an effort to resolve the impasse.

The Senate have held hearings on the Governor's proposal to establish video lottery terminals at Ohio's racetracks. The House has held hearings on the impact of cuts being proposed in the budget bill.
