Agency Programmatic Priorities

October 1, 2011 to September 30, 2012

In 2010, LRS conducted a strategic planning process, including aggressive outreach to people with disabilities, their families and advocates, to develop the programmatic priorities for the three year period from October 2010 to October 2013. The plan was finalized in conjunction with LRS' governing authority, the LRS Commission, and the PAIMI Advisory Council and is reviewed annually.

These categories reflect the substantive provisions of the Congressional purposes found in Section 2 of the Americans with Disabilities Act: "The Nation's proper goals regarding individuals with disabilities are to assure equality of opportunity, full participation, independent living, and economic self-sufficiency for such individuals."
