Privacy Policy

The Ohio Legal Rights Service (LRS) website resides on the server of Rackspace Hosting. Rackspace Hosting collects only generic information and does not collect personal identifiers such as name, address, telephone number, or e-mail address. Most documents and records collected by the server, including electronic data, are subject to Ohio law and the Public Records Act. Read the State of Ohio Privacy Statement for more information.

Google Analytics is used to collect pieces of information to generate statistical analyses about how visitors use the LRS website and about ways LRS can improve the website for the benefit of all visitors. The pieces of information include numbers and times of visits, pages viewed, paths followed through the website, files downloaded, the Internet protocol (IP) address of your computer, and addresses of Web sites from which visitors linked to the LRS website. Google Analytics only uses safe and non-intrusive first-party cookies which can only be read by the website that created them.

Information about a case that is received by LRS or a request for LRS advocacy is confidential as between attorney and client. Other information received via e-mail will be used to respond to a request. Information received via on-line polls and forms will be used for the purposes stated on the web page. Be aware, though, that Ohio law and the Public Records Act may require LRS to share information if it is a record of the agency's activities, it is not confidential as a client record and a copy is requested.
